Avocado Ranch Dressing
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
- Peel and Pit Avocado:
- Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
- Chop Herbs:
- Chop fresh chives and parsley.
Make the Avocado Ranch Dressing:
- Blend Avocado:
- In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe avocado, sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk, chopped chives, chopped parsley, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and lime juice.
- Blend Until Smooth:
- Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. If the dressing is too thick, you can add more buttermilk, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
- Season:
- Season the Avocado Ranch Dressing with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Adjust Thickness:
- If the dressing is too thick, you can thin it out with additional buttermilk. If it’s too thin, you can add more avocado or a touch of mayonnaise to achieve the desired thickness.
Serve:
- Chill:
- For the best flavor, refrigerate the Avocado Ranch Dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve Cold:
- Serve the dressing cold over salads, as a dip for veggies, or as a flavorful topping for grilled meats.
Notes:
- Storage: Store any leftover Avocado Ranch Dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
- Consistency: Adjust the consistency according to your preference by adding more buttermilk for a thinner dressing or more avocado for a thicker one.
